SHOUT! it out

Ok, I am turning 24 in a couple of months and it seems that my weeks are getting busier and busier with my performing and other social activities.

I am well into my new project playing Johnny O'keefe in 'SHOUT! Legend of the wild one' I must admit when I started working toward auditioning for this role back in July of 08 I knew it was going to be a tough slog, but it is only sinking in now how tough it actually is! Apart from being on stage for 90% of the show, performing over 30 songs (including a 10 minute rendition of Shout!) and numerous costume changes I have to remember that it is just going to get harder over the coming months.

The cast and crew are some of the best and nicest I have ever done a show with and I must admit that whilst I have to be there all the time it doesn't overly bother me as they are all a pleasure to be on stage with.

It is getting to the time now when I start looking for something new and challenging to do and I think it is safe to say, I have done my dash with musical theatre for the time being. I am really looking forward to getting back to drama plays, and even exploring helping out on the other side of the stage, be it assistant director or stage manager. But that is all in the pipeline and no real rush at this stage. I am also in to doing odd jobs at the moment, I am being a model for some phtography gig coming up rather soon ( I must suss out what it is all about) and I am singing at a wedding this Saturday which will be nice, performing as a solo artist is something I have not done in a long time!
